Demo Derby Games

We would like some ideas for car games to play before the demo derby. Bump and Run is like a relay around the track with the derby cars or car soccer if we could come up with a very large ball to use. Tell us your ideas. Thanks

The Bump-and-Run game would be very fun but could get very ugly quick. In Bump-and-Run drivers are in teams of 2, and drivers race their demo cars around the track and back to the front stretch where their team mate is waiting to get bumped so that he can take off and make a lap. It is essentially a relay race, and you can only imagine how ugly it gets on the front stretch when team mates are tagging.

Auto-Soccer if will be very fun also if we have a decent car count. In Auto-Soccer a giant ball is constructed out of foam so that the derby cars can use it as a soccer ball. Cars are split into even teams and must score a goal against the opposing team. To do this we will obviously need to get a huge foam ball donated.

There are more games out there but these are a couple of the more commonly used ones.

ever seen team demolition derby, it's awsome, need lots of cars. I went to Route 66 raceway (next door to Chicagoland speedway, Joliet, Ill) a few years ago. They have two teams of 4 at a time and race around a 1/8mi. track to make five laps to advance one team. every corner is a loader tire to go around the outside. the frist two cars a team are the cars to make the laps (only one needs to make five) the back two cars are blockers to take out the other teams lap cars. every car can go anywhere to hit or dodge others. if both lapers are dead then the blockers need to make the laps if possible. I seen some full corse passenger side and head on hits that would rock your world!!!

That sounds like a game we used to play on xbox racing games. We would make teams of 2 and one car would be a fast car and the other car a very slow car. We called it cat and mouse, and to win u had to get your teams slow car to the finish line first. It was like a free for all till the last straightaway and then your pushing your slow car like crazy to speed him up. I don't know how this would work in real life though...
