TECH. INSPECTION
Twin City Raceway is now allowing teams to volunteer to have their race cars teched. The board of directors, and or class directors will inspect your car for you and let you know what is legal and what if anything is illegal. As you all know we currently do not regularly tech cars, but we are looking at starting. We are considering teching the top 3 drivers from the 50-Lap stock car challenge, but any inspections and rulings done will be leniant. Next season we are looking at regularly teching the top 3 every night...
This will be a big change for TCR and is something that we will slowly work into, but in the long run it should make the competition better, more fun, and safer.
If you are interested in having your car teched, contact your class director, or bring it to one of our meetings which are at 7pm on Sundays at the American Legion in Old Town Kenai.

Re: TECH. INSPECTION
I think this is a big step in the right direction for TCR and the drivers involved in the organization to make the racing safer and more competitive. Not many organizations will give you a chance to have your cars inspected without recourse and I would encourage all teams to step up and participate.
Re: TECH. INSPECTION
what was inspected at tech after the races (7/18) and what were they looking for, so everyone knows and can be on the same page.

Re: TECH. INSPECTION
We inspected everything. We had a dedicated Tech. Inspection lane set up and flagged off. The top 3 in A and B Stock classes were inspected and they were warned of anything not legal. We did not find any thing that we felt was worth a penalty yet.
Everything was looked at, but safety things like not having a fire extinguisher in drivers pit, or not securing fuel cells properly, were what we found wrong most. A couple cars had fairly large holes in their firewalls and were warned for that, and the size and placement of car numbers was talked about. Making sure cars have a safety hoop over the drive line, and that the driveline is painted white was also checked.
The only problem we encountered during tech, was drivers not going straight to the tech area, but going straight to their pit stall to cool their motors. So we discussed in tonights meeting that we will have to get water available to spray on radiators in the tech. lane.
Overall it went good, and we did have one other B-stock that did submit her car for inspection even though she didnt have to. Also a new B-Stock car, the #25 of Mike Morgan, showed up and we looked over his car to make sure it was safe prior to the races.

Re: TECH. INSPECTION
i painted all my drive lines white at the begining of the season but now they are a dirty brown or grey color from all the clay. Should we paint them before every race?
